  1. This image really brings back memories…my great grandmother kept me quite a bit when I was very young. I recall watching her hang the laundry out almost daily. She had a bag very similar to this with clothes pins in it. I loved the way she seemed so tall, tall enough to reach the clothes line. She was only 4’10” but she seemed larger than life to me. The conversations we had out there, smelling her Iris’ hearing the bees buzz. Thanks for the memory jog. It makes me smile.

    I am truly drawn to clothespins in a way I do not understand… I not only use them to close chip bags, they also appear in my darkroom to hold negatives. Thanks for this, Joy. It made me smile.

    Raise your hand if your mom hung laundry out to dry and you hid in the dry sheets…please tell me I wasn’t the only one…
